Mid Autumn LANTERN Festival
Chinese people celebrating this Mid-Autumn LANTERN Festival by eating round cakes and enjoying the moon. The tradition of hanging coloured lanterns and seven starred flags and beating drums and gongs probably dates from the Ming Dynasty. The Mid Autumn Festival is celebrated in the last month of the Northern summer, when the days are still warm and it is more pleasant to be outside appreciating the beauty of the full moon. Strips of paper with riddles written on them are glued to the lanterns for children and adults to guess. There are programmes like Story Telling and moon cake making, lantern making workshop and tea and moon cake tasting.

墨爾本皇冠賭場"中國新年燈光秀"
在中國新年期間~墨爾本市區的皇冠賭場(Crown Casino)裡~有美麗的燈光秀
富有中國文化特色的燈籠配合聲光演出~
元宵節沒燈會看~看看這個也是挺過癮的喔!!
時間: 19/01/2009-15/02/2009 約每小時一次
地點: Crown Casino (8 Whiteman Street, Southbank 3006)
交通方式: 由Flinder Station沿著YARRA RIVER河岸走路至Crown Casino約十分鐘
沿途還有一些商店與餐廳可以逛逛~

墨爾本元宵節慶祝活動
沒有趕到01/02新年慶祝活動的人~不要難過~^^
因為很快的墨爾本又有中國元宵節的慶祝活動~
以下為活動訊息:

地點: Kingsway(Glen Waverley)
活動內容: 舞龍、晚間花燈巡禮、文娛表演、美食攤位、傳統手工藝品、卡拉OK、烹飪示範
墨爾本中國新年慶祝活動
2009 Chinese New Year Festival - Year Of Ox (中國新年 - 牛年)
26/01/2009是中國的年初一~當天在墨爾本會有許多的慶祝活動
由於越來越多的華人移居至澳洲~所以當地政府也開是重視中國新年的慶祝活動
活動內容包含舞龍舞獅、中國戲曲表演、傳統舞蹈表演.....等
在墨爾本市區~當天會架設舞台~除了有一些中國傳統表演還會有卡拉OK比賽~
卡拉OK比賽時間一直從8:00PM到12:00PM的跨年倒數活動(Only Melbourne網站資訊)
地點: Little Bourke St. Melbourne
除此之外~有許多地點一樣有熱鬧的慶祝活動~
如: Chinatown, Richmond, Springvale, Box Hill, Footscray, St. Albians
Box Hill 的活動行程已出爐:
